    Hemorrhoids are actually varices around the ****. The rectum is further up and Preparation H is not used for the rectum. Also, if the bleeding is actually rectal, it is not a hemorrhoid and is probably something more serious.

    We may all bleed from number 2, but if it is hemorrhoids the blood comes from a different place not the rectum. Rectal bleeds suggest something like colitis or cancer, or that there is a flow….you know link to the person’s blood flow and this your medicine may be harmful if it gets into a human being’s blood. The blood from your condition is not like ‘flowing’ but rather an ooze. Your doctor should have explained this before giving you the medication.
